Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of pasal.biz — the app, website, and related services operated by the pasal.biz team. By creating an account or using pasal.biz, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What pasal.biz is
pasal.biz operates in two modes, and the relationship is different in each. Marketplace mode is for shopkeepers who have registered with pasal.biz: customers can browse inventory, place orders, propose prices, and message shopkeepers; shopkeepers can list products, accept or decline orders and offers, and arrange pickup or delivery. Directory / search-engine mode is for shops that have not registered with us: we index their publicly available product pages and forward shoppers to the shop's own website to complete the purchase. In neither mode are we the seller — we don't take title to the goods, we don't take payment for the goods, and the contract for any sale is between the customer and the shopkeeper.
1a. Indexed listings (external shops)
For shops we index in directory mode (auto-listed shops that have not registered with pasal.biz), pasal.biz acts as a search engine. We crawl publicly available pages, respect robots.txt, and link shoppers back to the shop's own website. We are not a marketplace, not a seller, not a payment processor, not a courier, and not a party to any transaction between a shopper and an indexed shop. We do not warrant the accuracy, availability, price, quality, legality, or merchant identity of any indexed listing. Shoppers acting on an indexed listing are responsible for verifying the shop before transacting. Shop owners can claim their listing or request delisting at any time (see the takedown page); detail of what we crawl and how is on the PasalBot page and the robots policy page.
2. Pricing
pasal.biz is free to use. We charge no commission on sales, no transaction fees, and no subscription. If this ever changes we will give clear notice in advance, and you can stop using the service before any new charge applies.
3. Your account
You must be at least 13 to use pasal.biz, and at least 18 (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to operate a pasal. You are responsible for keeping your phone number, password, and device secure. Activity from your account is treated as authorized by you. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Customer responsibilities
When you place an order or send an offer, you commit to honoring it: receiving the goods at the agreed pickup or delivery, and paying the agreed price. You can cancel an order while it is still pending, before the shopkeeper has accepted it. Repeated no-shows, false reports, or abusive messages can result in restrictions or account termination.
5. Shopkeeper (pasal) responsibilities
If you operate a pasal, you are responsible for: the accuracy of your listings (photos, prices, stock, descriptions); fulfilling orders you accept on time and in the agreed condition; complying with all applicable Nepali laws including consumer protection, tax, food safety, weights and measures, and any sector-specific regulations; obtaining any licenses required for what you sell; and treating customers fairly and respectfully. You must not list illegal goods, counterfeit items, regulated substances you are not licensed to sell, weapons, or anything restricted by Nepali law.
6. Orders, offers, and the marketplace contract
An order or offer becomes binding when accepted by the other side. Orders move through defined states (pending → accepted → ready/out for delivery → completed) and offers are consumed at the moment they're accepted into an order. If a shopkeeper cannot fulfill an accepted order, they must notify the customer promptly and arrange a refund or replacement directly with them. pasal.biz may help mediate but does not guarantee outcomes.
7. Payments
Payment for goods happens directly between you and the shopkeeper, by the method you both agree (cash on pickup, cash on delivery, mobile wallet, bank transfer, etc.). pasal.biz does not currently process payments and does not hold funds on your behalf. Tax obligations on any sale are the shopkeeper's responsibility.
8. Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, reviews, and messages you post. By posting, you grant pasal.biz a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app and website so the service can function. Don't post anything you don't have the rights to, and don't post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit. We may remove content that violates these terms.
9. Prohibited use
Don't: try to reverse engineer or attack the service; scrape or bulk-download data; impersonate another person or shop; create accounts to evade a suspension; manipulate ratings, search ranking, or offers in bad faith; or use pasal.biz to defraud, threaten, or harass anyone.
10. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or close an account that violates these terms, abuses the service, or puts other users at risk. Where possible we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time from the app. Closure does not erase your obligations for orders or offers already accepted before closure.
11. Disclaimers
pasal.biz is provided "as is." We work to keep the service reliable but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, or that any specific shop will be online when you want them. We don't endorse any pasal, and we don't independently verify product claims. Always check before you buy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, pasal.biz is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from any transaction between a customer and a shopkeeper. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid pasal.biz in the 12 months before the claim — which, while the service is free, is zero.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes between you and pasal.biz will be brought in the courts of Kathmandu, unless local consumer-protection law gives you stronger rights.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
